Russet sent a PR (PR 2094). Some examples of the error are shown below. 2022-07-17 00:24:06 .tcc.0 0 tcc W Text="Device Command XQ#STATUS Failing: ?XQ#STATUS" 2022-07-17 00:27:13 .tcc.0 0 tcc W Text="Device Command A=2126207; B=3139238; C=2037673; D=-25835; E=-57707; XQ #MOVE Failing: ?A=2126207 B1393=2037673;? D=-2583;E-777 QMV" To try to circumvent the secondary mirror issues, we stopped the secondary mirror controller while observing, and only turned it on when switching instruments or focusing. There were no NotHomed errors tonight. Echelle started reading out all zeros near 1:45am. I restarted the ICC and all was good. When I switched the echelle we were not able to find a star. Moving the tertiary from NA1 to BC1 and back to NA1 solved the problem. I'm not sure if it's connected, but when I was rotating the tertiary to NA1, I opened the NA1 eyelid and closed the NA2. I was given an error that the eyelid couldn't open in the Enclosure window but the only thing I saw in the log was 2022-07-17 08:33:50 APO.Canadce 232 telmech f errtxt="" There were no issues when we later switched from the echelle to apollo. I left the mirror controller off when I closed for the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:53 arctic 705( 1882) 102 19 17.7 19.0 19.6 18.2 17.9 sdss-i 1.66 02:49 ecamera 384( 259) -146 44 17.3 15.2 15.8 14.9 15.4 clear 1.10 05:02 APOLLO 380( 2042) -9 47 16.7 15.4 16.0 15.4 15.8 530 1.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 74 46 11 207 (SSW) 1099 clear none 17:00 74 44 8 268 (W) 1073 clear none 18:00 75 46 3 259 (W) 1066 clear none 19:00 73 39 2 259 (W) 852 clear none 20:00 67 37 9 83 (E) 833 clear none 21:00 63 35 14 106 (ESE) 915 clear none 22:00 63 34 14 114 (ESE) 947 clear none 23:00 61 37 12 93 (E) 1365 clear none 00:00 60 39 12 100 (E) 1503 clear none 01:00 60 40 9 90 (E) 1500 clear none 02:00 60 38 9 86 (E) 1472 clear none 03:00 63 35 8 13 (NNE) 1067 mstly clr none 04:00 61 37 4 349 (N) 987 clear none 05:00 62 35 11 8 (N) 973 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
