Clouds tonight. It looked promising at one point during 1st half, and I was just about to open, when more clouds formed over us. The start of 2nd half we had problems with the newly installed ND filters in the instrument. This took a while to figure out as we were able to see Jupiter but there was an unknown obstruction in the field. It turned out that the cal stage mirror was hitting the newly installed filters preventing it from moving properly out of the light path. This prevented us from using KOSMOS for Jupiter observations and we switched over to the echelle, which was planned earlier after 03:00 anyhow. A separate email with details sent to the engineering staff. I homed the kosmos cal stage and that seems to have put things back in order with the instrument. No problems tonight.
