The mirror covers did not fully close after test slews, only one set of petals closed. I had to command them open (did nothing) and closed (closed them) again. After that no problems. We did have a small power flicker during yesterday's storm so that’s possibly why. We had radar and high dust counts at the start of the night. We opened after 22:30 when they cleared up somewhat, but with fans in reverse mode for 1-micron dust>3k. Closed again at 11:20 due to dust, and reopened at midnight. The clouds got much worse after 01:00 and I closed the mirror covers a little after 01:30 because we were barely getting any photons. We were able to reopen again a little after 02:00, and the sky mostly improved over the rest of the night but never fully cleared up. I put the pollen plate outside from 02:05-04:35 after the weather calmed down a bit but the particle counts were pretty negligible. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:47 tcamera 171( 1459) 1 56 17.4 18.8 20.5 18.6 18.2 Ks 1.25 01:13 ecamera 350( 311) -96 43 17.3 17.0 17.8 16.9 17.1 ND3 0.96 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 72 38 14 235 (SW) 3776 mstly cldy dust 17:00 69 42 7 251 (WSW) 5883 mstly cldy dust 18:00 72 41 11 239 (WSW) 5254 ptly cldy dust 19:00 67 39 7 259 (W) 4025 ptly cldy dust 20:00 65 41 2 237 (WSW) 4012 ptly cldy dust 21:00 65 39 6 258 (WSW) 3959 ptly cldy dust 22:00 64 40 7 260 (W) 4101 ptly cldy dust 23:00 63 40 6 185 (S) 3178 ptly cldy dust 00:00 63 40 7 204 (SSW) 3154 ptly cldy none 01:00 63 39 10 189 (S) 2567 mstly cldy none 02:00 62 41 9 213 (SSW) 3057 mstly cldy none 03:00 61 40 9 184 (S) 2734 mstly clr none 04:00 62 41 8 233 (SW) 2342 mstly clr none 05:00 63 40 6 261 (W) 2441 mstly clr none 06:00 62 40 5 259 (W) 2373 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
