At 20:58 tspec free-wheeled and caused a motion error. I stopped the drives, reinitialized, and ran a few test rotations and it was fine the rest of the night. Rotation was at -177.5 when it had the motion error. We had a fairly clear night with good seeing and, while the the humidity got a little high (80%) everything was good. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WY02 Tspec T/H 20:58 21:04 Rotator free-wheeled, reset and did test rotations ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:32 tcamera 671( 1835) -3 73 14.6 16.3 15.4 16.4 16.0 Ks 1.01 21:10 tcamera 547( 1664) -36 72 14.3 15.4 15.1 15.2 15.1 Ks 1.21 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 58 49 10 132 (SE) 901 clear none 17:00 60 49 9 137 (SE) 825 clear none 18:00 67 49 7 200 (SSW) 767 clear none 19:00 62 48 6 133 (SE) 817 clear none 20:00 59 47 11 142 (SE) 808 clear none 21:00 58 48 16 134 (SE) 786 clear none 22:00 58 46 13 128 (SE) clear none 23:00 58 44 15 138 (SE) 662 clear none 00:00 57 46 15 134 (SE) 766 clear none 01:00 55 48 18 137 (SE) 1224 mstly clr none 02:00 54 48 15 150 (SSE) mstly clr none 03:00 54 47 18 148 (SSE) mstly clr none 04:00 54 48 12 172 (S) mstly clr none 05:00 55 47 9 185 (S) 968 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
