However, even if the telescope was usable, the weather was mostly cloudy all night, and science data would have been questionable. Pollen plate, 21:45-22:45: ~5 counts/cm2/hr Around 01:00, the internet connection to the outside world went down; cell phones could still access the internet through the cell tower in Alamogordo, and Candace (offsite) reported that she couldn't access any of the APO sites (including email). We could connect to our ISP, but it seems that the issue may lie between the ISP and the rest of the internet. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NM06 N/A T/H 22:54 03:17 Tertiary mirror actuator failure ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 65 49 13 228 (SW) 1588 cloudy none 17:00 61 43 8 191 (S) 1270 cloudy none 18:00 59 49 12 196 (SSW) 1591 cloudy none 19:00 57 50 4 132 (SE) cloudy none 20:00 57 49 8 93 (E) 1683 cloudy none 21:00 56 48 16 115 (ESE) 1651 cloudy none 22:00 57 45 19 111 (ESE) 1765 mstly cldy none 23:00 57 45 16 83 (E) 2040 ptly cldy none 00:00 57 46 22 112 (ESE) 1740 mstly cldy none 01:00 56 47 19 114 (ESE) 1569 mstly cldy none 02:00 56 46 15 113 (ESE) 1459 mstly cldy none 03:00 57 46 9 104 (ESE) 1393 mstly cldy none 04:00 57 45 11 129 (SE) 1453 cloudy none 05:00 57 45 7 185 (S) 1408 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
