GLORIOUS RAIN!!!! And even some hail. So, hopefully, all the lightning didn't cause any problems anywhere. We weren't able to open at the beginning of the night due to high dust, humidity, rain, hail, wind, and clouds. Once the storm blew over it was beautiful and clear! The wind kept changing from East to West all night but the sky was still good. SU01 was kind enough to donate about 10 min to CU02 so they could get a slightly longer baseline on their transit. While we had rain and winds picked up a bit at the end of the night, I didn't see any real issue with dust and pollen tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:36 arctic 26( 967) -64 54 14.4 14.6 15.3 14.2 14.3 sdss-r 1.20 00:38 khigh 317( 1092) -96 71 13.8 12.3 13.0 12.2 12.6 -- 1.30 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 69 31 17 219 (SW) 2328 mstly clr none 17:00 67 31 8 227 (SW) 2417 mstly clr none 18:00 64 31 6 197 (SSW) 2073 ptly cldy none 19:00 66 31 14 262 (W) 2215 ptly cldy none 20:00 56 31 26 73 (ENE) 7487 cloudy rain 21:00 48 31 12 73 (ENE) 2041 cloudy rain 22:00 54 30 2 179 (S) 1506 ptly cldy humid 23:00 54 30 7 28 (NNE) 1906 clear none 00:00 54 30 4 85 (E) 1185 clear none 01:00 56 30 6 193 (SSW) 1985 clear none 02:00 57 30 15 196 (SSW) 1570 clear none 03:00 54 30 15 160 (SSE) 1236 clear none 04:00 54 30 15 175 (S) 1188 clear none 05:00 52 28 12 188 (S) 1878 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
