Sadly, the clouds were too bad for even those observations and no data was acquired (it took me a while to even focus) so I marked their entire half as lost to weather. Around 23:15, the wind shifted to come from the WNW, which put us directly in line with smoke from the Black Fire in the Gila and would have forced us to close if we weren't already. The smell was pretty noticeable with 0.3um counts in the 150k-230k range. We opened back up for B-half around 01:30, with the 0.3um counts between 100k-150k and 1.0um counts around 3k. They continued to decrease over the next hour as the wind shifted more towards the north. Clouds started moving in around 02:45, and we called it a night around 04:40. We had another couple weird log messages- these were the only ones during the night. 2022-05-24 08:26:58 .gmech.0 0 gmech f UNPARSEDTEXT="Could not parse the following as a command: '\\x03\\x00\\x00/*\\xe0\\x00\\x00\\x00\\x00\\x00Cookie: mstshash=Administr'" 2022-05-24 08:26:59 .gmech.0 0 gmech f UNPARSEDTEXT="Could not parse the following as a command: '\\x03\\x00\\x00/*\\xe0\\x00\\x00\\x00\\x00\\x00Cookie: mstshash=Administr'" The secondary mirror homing issue from the past couple nights did not reoccur, and there were no other problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:21 AGILE 600( -722) 89 69 13.9 14.1 14.6 13.8 13.9 BG40 1.18 01:31 tcamera 339( 1277) 264 64 10.5 11.5 12.9 11.4 11.2 Ks 1.22 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 66 24 25 232 (SW) 2529 ptly cldy none 17:00 64 21 22 258 (WSW) 2848 mstly clr none 18:00 63 23 25 211 (SSW) 2657 mstly clr none 19:00 59 16 19 262 (W) 2326 ptly cldy none 20:00 58 18 21 249 (WSW) 2490 mstly cldy none 21:00 57 17 18 267 (W) 3147 cloudy none 22:00 57 16 18 251 (WSW) 2637 cloudy none 23:00 56 16 20 270 (W) 2656 cloudy dust 00:00 53 23 5 351 (N) 4753 mstly cldy dust 01:00 52 24 5 55 (NE) 3363 ptly cldy dust 02:00 50 23 6 358 (N) 2462 ptly cldy none 03:00 50 23 9 10 (N) 2185 mstly cldy none 04:00 49 23 9 350 (N) 2385 cloudy none 05:00 47 25 13 11 (N) 2380 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
