The KOSMOS cal stage was reporting the error “Not Homed” in the KOSMOS window, and trying to move the stage produced other errors (see email). After homing the stage the errors didn’t return and the cal stage behaved the rest of the night. At 23:55 1-micron dust counts went over 3000, so I switched to reverse fan mode. Inside dust counts stayed lower than outside by 200-500 counts. The dust counts remained elevated for the rest of the night. Dataq froze and I restarted it. Nice clear skies all night! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:08 kosmos 331( 1199) 83 61 12.4 14.2 14.6 14.1 13.8 -- 1.33 01:21 ecamera 371( 63) 127 29 11.2 11.0 11.7 10.9 10.9 Clear 1.42 02:26 ecamera 375( 23) 125 42 10.9 10.3 11.1 10.2 10.4 ND2 1.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 61 34 8 238 (WSW) 3507 mstly clr none 17:00 62 27 24 225 (SW) 3195 mstly clr none 18:00 61 20 25 218 (SW) 2622 clear none 19:00 58 15 21 226 (SW) 3242 clear none 20:00 56 11 21 239 (WSW) 3519 clear none 21:00 55 1 25 255 (WSW) 2632 clear none 22:00 56 -1 23 261 (W) 2928 clear none 23:00 55 1 19 266 (W) 2862 clear none 00:00 53 2 15 279 (W) 3397 clear dust 01:00 52 2 16 266 (W) 4148 clear dust 02:00 52 3 10 268 (W) 4278 clear dust 03:00 51 6 18 278 (W) 4261 clear dust 04:00 50 10 19 288 (WNW) 4070 clear dust 05:00 50 11 17 288 (WNW) 4165 clear dust 06:00 49 12 14 273 (W) 3970 clear dust Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
