After the power cycle it was fine. NICFPS was not happy at all during checkout. Tracey had revived it earlier today but it was not happy at checkout. While I was working on it the VNC connection dropped and when I went to the computer room the machine was non-responsive, even after a hard power cycle. Tracey will swap it out. We are still having issues with the filter moving and I think the temps. I re-opened PR 1886. When I went to change the DIS gratings (move turret) it would not move. I had to home the turret to fix. I also needed to home everything to get the detent correct. The gratings were a ways off in opposite directions, indicative of things needing to be homed. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:15 APOLLO 350( 1252) 54 65 -1.4 -0.5 -0.3 -1.0 -1.1 -- 1.20 19:22 tcamera 368( 726) -110 56 -0.9 -1.0 -0.8 -1.5 -1.3 Ks 1.03 21:36 tcamera 404( 747) -82 76 -1.2 -1.1 -1.1 -1.5 -1.4 Ks 1.02 01:18 dcamera 511( 381) -36 51 -3.8 -3.6 -2.9 -3.7 -3.6 -- 1.47 04:40 Echelle 250( ) 58 85 -6.5 -6.0 -5.4 -6.3 -6.1 ND3 1.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 34 4 22 207 (SSW) 1511 ptly cldy none 17:00 33 5 11 194 (SSW) 1781 ptly cldy none 18:00 29 5 14 182 (S) 1887 ptly cldy none 19:00 30 4 17 198 (SSW) 1849 ptly cldy none 20:00 30 4 14 194 (SSW) 1714 ptly cldy none 21:00 30 3 14 208 (SSW) 1764 ptly cldy none 22:00 30 5 15 192 (SSW) 1944 ptly cldy none 23:00 30 6 20 198 (SSW) 1928 ptly cldy none 00:00 28 6 15 198 (SSW) 1851 clear none 01:00 27 7 13 206 (SSW) 1939 clear none 02:00 24 8 10 205 (SSW) 1904 clear none 03:00 24 7 9 191 (S) 1868 clear none 04:00 22 8 9 222 (SW) 1984 clear none 05:00 20 8 9 228 (SW) 2026 clear none 06:00 19 9 9 257 (WSW) 1980 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
