Seeing was moderate at the start of the night and good for second half. Two targeted JHU programs combined with obseerver training for a group of JHU students. ARCSAT had another clock problem, with a constellation of other problems that might have been caused by the clock problem or might have been independent. Jack helped us sort them out. The 3.5m and instruments all behaved nicely. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:44 klow 425( 697) -7 57 1.3 1.4 2.5 1.9 1.6 - 1.20 23:37 klow 400( 662) -11 59 2.6 1.3 2.4 2.2 2.2 - 0.93 04:44 ecamera 425( -376) 51 44 0.6 0.1 0.8 0.1 0.2 ND2 0.90 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 39 -1 21 216 (SW) 507 ptly cldy none 17:00 38 -1 21 221 (SW) 373 mstly clr none 18:00 36 -1 16 217 (SW) 494 clear none 19:00 35 0 11 219 (SW) 722 clear none 20:00 35 1 15 245 (WSW) 839 clear none 21:00 34 2 14 243 (WSW) 981 clear none 22:00 36 2 15 207 (SSW) 1154 clear none 23:00 38 -1 14 188 (S) 875 ptly cldy none 00:00 37 0 15 202 (SSW) 1093 ptly cldy none 01:00 36 2 16 206 (SSW) 1319 ptly cldy none 02:00 34 5 16 223 (SW) 1338 ptly cldy none 03:00 35 5 17 227 (SW) 815 ptly cldy none 04:00 34 4 12 215 (SW) 857 mstly clr none 05:00 33 3 10 244 (WSW) 782 clear none 06:00 32 5 10 261 (W) 983 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
