Seeing wasn't great but we could still make out faint targets. Training went a little longer than I anticipated and we switched over to engineering around 21:20. Since there were clouds and the humidity was everywhere, we were only able to conduct a pointing model and even that we had to stop early due to clouds and radar. We closed a little after 1am and did not reopen and I spent the remainder of the night implementing the pointing model. There were a lot of bad points to sort through, but we got there in the end and the pointing model was implemented. We did notice a sticky shutter on gcam while taking 0.3 sec exposures. It wasn't on every exposure, but there were some vertical light bleeds on most short exposure images. It only just got below freezing tonight. While we had no issues with kosmos tonight, the kosmos f text="expanded: Torrent is busy executing device command ppxStartExp" error came up every 5 min while kosmos was in use. closed at 1:03 ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:48 arctic 433( 625) 93 50 0.8 2.9 3.0 2.0 1.3 sdss-r 1.38 18:51 arctic 364( 455) 111 68 -0.4 0.9 1.8 0.7 0.3 sdss-g 1.88 20:06 klow 430( 467) 36 52 2.1 0.7 1.5 0.8 1.6 -- 1.30 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 40 32 15 260 (W) 305 mstly clr humid 17:00 34 30 7 266 (W) 381 mstly clr humid 18:00 33 31 12 269 (W) 390 mstly clr humid 19:00 32 31 7 229 (SW) mstly clr none 20:00 35 23 11 250 (WSW) 211 mstly clr none 21:00 35 27 10 259 (W) 294 mstly clr none 22:00 36 27 8 271 (W) 300 mstly clr none 23:00 37 30 14 234 (SW) 459 ptly cldy none 00:00 36 33 10 233 (SW) 617 cloudy none 01:00 38 33 18 217 (SW) 578 cloudy none 02:00 37 33 13 208 (SSW) 620 cloudy fog 03:00 37 34 17 207 (SSW) 604 cloudy fog 04:00 37 34 14 191 (S) cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
