Did we have a power glitch today? Motion error on Alt with first slew during checkout. Alt 75 drive did not move. A drive power cycle than short moves, then long move fixed the issue. Altitude motion error @ 42.5deg from 55.4 deg @ 04:01:20UT We closed at 21:10 when the clouds became too much. It started snowing about 00:15. I started the snow program around 01:00. I left the telescope parked due south this morning. It looks like there is some LN2 on the lower level that needs to come up but probably need sun to melt snow more than LN2 at the moment. We have 3 full LN2 dewars on the observing level besides the ones we are currently using. I checked the roof cams and there is some snow accumulation on the roof. Daystaff should check and decide if they need to come in to remove snow or not from the 3.5m enclosure. We have about 2" of fresh powdery snow on the ground. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:34 ecamera 448( -626) -91 62 37.3 -0.6 -0.2 -0.9 -1.7 ND1 0.78 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 99 32 7 263 (W) 113 ptly cldy none 17:00 99 32 11 299 (WNW) 183 ptly cldy none 18:00 99 32 7 262 (W) 167 mstly clr none 19:00 99 32 10 227 (SW) 191 mstly clr none 20:00 99 32 6 202 (SSW) 212 ptly cldy none 21:00 99 32 10 189 (S) 183 mstly cldy none 22:00 99 32 7 199 (SSW) cloudy lt snow 23:00 99 32 7 262 (W) cloudy none 00:00 99 32 13 222 (SW) cloudy snow 01:00 99 32 7 261 (W) cloudy snow 02:00 99 32 10 264 (W) cloudy snow 03:00 99 32 10 263 (W) cloudy snow 04:00 99 32 10 261 (W) cloudy snow 05:00 99 32 10 264 (W) cloudy snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
