Seeing was moderate, which was surprising. Then it went a bit trashy. And finally went subarcsec near dawn. Skies were mostly clear, but cirrus rolled in during B half. For engineering, we were not able to collimate due to strong temp swing (got up to nearly 6C!), but I was eventually able to run some throughput exposures and a pointing model, which was implemented. Around 5:30, after I implemented the pointing model and had tested pointing, I switched to arctic and attempted to focus. Which is when the secondary mirror threw the XQ #MOVE Failing: ?GO one or more motor amplifiers is reporting a fault" error. Russet helped me through the homing and restarting of the secondary (yay, practice?) and we were able to get it fixed just before dawn.
