ARCTIC also had an "amps=quad may only be specified with a full window" error because it was still in 3x3 binning from last night. Used the first part of twilight for cals. We had thin high clouds most of the night but we mostly observed through them. Seeing was about 0.9" at midnight changeover, consistent with previous focuses and everything at about the same temperatures so we didn't change it. From about 03:15 to 04:30 we were open but unable to observe due to the clouds getting too thick, so I marked that time as lost to weather. The dewpoint sensor is still malfunctioning and the temperature was not 99F, we were around 0C until about midnight and then cooled off to about -2C by sunrise, with under 10% humidity at the start of the night, rising to about 60% and back down a bit by morning, mostly after midnight as the temperature dropped. We didn’t get much wind tonight. Dome is parked to the west to help melt that last bit of snow. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:57 ecamera 508( -467) 231 59 37.3 1.6 2.0 2.1 1.6 ND1 0.74 18:45 kosmos 448( 505) 215 42 37.3 0.9 1.4 1.1 0.7 -- 0.97 21:42 arctic 404( 460) 330 49 37.3 -0.0 0.4 -0.1 0.7 SDSS_r 0.74 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 99 32 3 200 (SSW) 289 ptly cldy none 17:00 99 32 5 188 (S) 287 ptly cldy none 18:00 99 32 7 201 (SSW) 397 ptly cldy none 19:00 99 32 6 201 (SSW) 290 ptly cldy none 20:00 99 32 7 186 (S) 358 ptly cldy none 21:00 99 32 9 197 (SSW) 295 ptly cldy none 22:00 99 32 12 208 (SSW) 213 ptly cldy none 23:00 99 32 13 213 (SSW) 146 ptly cldy none 00:00 99 32 10 226 (SW) 119 ptly cldy none 01:00 99 32 8 194 (SSW) 190 ptly cldy none 02:00 99 32 8 209 (SSW) 635 ptly cldy none 03:00 99 32 7 245 (WSW) 675 mstly cldy none 04:00 99 32 6 272 (W) 777 ptly cldy none 05:00 99 32 5 289 (WNW) 994 mstly clr none 06:00 99 32 11 305 (NW) 731 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
