I had to power cycle the leach controller to get it operational. I had to perform CPR on Agile this afternoon (aka, restart the hearbeat). The instrument worked fine afterwards. While I was running the Kosmos shutter noise tests, I was seeing multiple messages about the Torrent is busy from MN02. I assume this is due to the KOSMOS lamp script trying to poll the instrument while I was doing an exposure. I had a focus failure (fault) when I tried to re-check focus at 09:05:49 2022-12-16 09:05:49 APO.APO-Jack 369 tcc f text="Sub-command(s) failed: move -980.5182,-210.0000,370.0000,-500.0000,809.5399: ?GO one or more motor amplifiers is reporting a fault" Since we had been open for several hours, and I focused about 2 hrs ago, I just let the observer continue observing while I looked for a resolution to the issue. I also noticed the Sec State was trying to move, but having issues (ie. I don't think it was due to the fault, although that wasn't throwing any errors. I called Russet and we both came to the same conclusion of just disabling the secondary. PR also submitted. FYI, the focus was at 432 before the problem. Telescope parked @ 104,10 per Ben's request to investigate the amplifier problem. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:18 tcamera 551( 710) 128 80 -2.7 -0.7 -1.3 -1.3 -2.2 Ks 1.07 18:09 tcamera 353( 496) 79 29 -3.8 -1.7 -2.4 -3.2 -3.7 Ks 1.11 00:19 ecamera 432( -902) -160 68 -6.1 -6.0 -5.3 -5.9 -5.9 clear 2.25 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 29 11 14 292 (WNW) 312 clear none 17:00 28 11 16 311 (NW) 309 clear none 18:00 25 8 8 297 (WNW) 178 clear none 19:00 22 11 8 235 (SW) 246 clear none 20:00 23 16 11 262 (W) 304 clear none 21:00 24 16 15 289 (WNW) 311 clear none 22:00 23 17 7 266 (W) 352 clear none 23:00 23 18 6 314 (NW) 344 mstly clr none 00:00 21 17 19 350 (N) 390 mstly clr none 01:00 22 13 14 306 (NW) 440 mstly clr none 02:00 22 13 8 358 (N) 374 mstly clr none 03:00 21 12 6 294 (WNW) 415 ptly cldy none 04:00 19 11 16 30 (NNE) 285 mstly clr none 05:00 18 2 18 5 (N) 521 mstly clr none 06:00 20 -5 18 9 (N) 1157 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
