This was during sky flats when the user was making offsets at alt 59 and 60.8. After an axis init we had no further problems. The sky was clear all night but we were fighting with wind large changes in humidity, which gave us moderate to poor seeing (which was actually good for CU01's science). The wind gusted near 40 mph which caused us to close for nearly an hour. We were able to reopen in time for CU01 to get their transit. They were in the baseline when we started pointing too far west in to the wind and they donated their last 25 min to EN01. For engineering, it was throughput, throughput, throughput. We focused on three fields and were able to get nearly an airmass of data between all three. Details are in the engineering email. The Hub and TCC were reset. Az, na1, and Na2 controllers were reset, but alt controller seems to be stuck and would not come back. PR 2115 was filed for the issue. NA2 rotator was zeroed, which had an offset of 0.045 During one exposure, gcam appeared to show a sticky shutter (image proc-g1747.fits), the temperature was about 5C. It only happened the one time during the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:01 arctic 650( 1086) 83 41 7.1 7.9 8.4 7.6 7.4 sdss-i 1.93 23:53 arctic 475( 720) -4 58 4.1 4.0 4.8 4.0 4.0 sdss-r 1.22 00:50 arctic 470( 679) -5 58 3.5 3.3 4.1 3.3 3.4 sdss-r 1.68 00:55 arctic 452( 658) -7 57 3.5 3.3 4.1 3.2 3.3 sdss-r 1.12 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 50 23 28 211 (SSW) 962 clear none 17:00 47 23 29 213 (SSW) 1121 clear none 18:00 46 20 28 228 (SW) 1504 clear none 19:00 45 20 19 218 (SW) 1058 clear none 20:00 45 19 28 211 (SSW) 885 clear none 21:00 42 25 14 241 (WSW) 1286 clear none 22:00 42 26 21 246 (WSW) 1090 clear none 23:00 41 26 16 264 (W) 1045 clear none 00:00 39 27 18 247 (WSW) 1023 clear none 01:00 39 30 19 265 (W) 1075 clear none 02:00 39 24 21 264 (W) 746 clear none 03:00 37 25 25 267 (W) 729 clear none 04:00 35 22 11 266 (W) 697 clear none 05:00 36 17 14 283 (WNW) 495 clear none 06:00 35 19 19 294 (WNW) 546 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
