Also, the ARCTIC ion pump controller was lit all the way up; with instructions from Bill I monitored the pressure tonight, which was a bit soft. CCD temp was stable at 182.4 all night. We had lots of clouds at the start of the night, but decent seeing, and we did our best to observe through them. We were left with just some orographic clouds by the end of A-half that cleared up by the end of the night. Other than the clouds, observing went smoothly. (Times after 02:00 MDT are in MST. Happy fall back!) ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:53 NICFPS 416( 1161) 20 75 5.9 6.4 6.2 6.6 5.7 MK-Ks 0.73 01:22 tcamera 390( 851) 44 79 6.5 5.7 6.3 5.8 5.8 Ks 0.92 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 43 18 12 351 (N) 38 mstly cldy none 17:00 42 19 0 314 (NW) 40 mstly cldy none 18:00 43 19 13 332 (NNW) 56 mstly cldy none 19:00 43 19 10 350 (N) 80 mstly cldy none 20:00 44 19 8 345 (NNW) 88 mstly cldy none 21:00 42 20 9 316 (NW) 100 mstly cldy none 22:00 44 19 11 302 (WNW) 116 mstly cldy none 23:00 44 16 9 348 (NNW) 152 ptly cldy none 00:00 43 16 12 307 (NW) 127 ptly cldy none 01:00 44 15 16 350 (N) 117 ptly cldy none 01:00 43 17 10 327 (NNW) 116 mstly clr none 02:00 42 18 3 358 (N) 116 mstly clr none 03:00 45 18 9 331 (NNW) 95 mstly clr none 04:00 46 19 1 189 (S) 65 clear none 05:00 47 19 8 346 (NNW) 92 clear none 06:00 46 20 14 324 (NW) 69 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
