Dust kicked up around 16:00, and both wind and dust stayed high for several hours. Starting around 21:00, clouds started forming right above us, even as the wind and dust subsided a little bit. The clouds persisted into B-half, and the humidity rose as the night went on. It started lightly snowing at 02:30, but there was no real accumulation. I called it a night at 06:00, as the clouds did not look like they would clear up in time to get useful science data. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 47 25 27 242 (WSW) 3263 mstly clr dust 17:00 46 26 26 221 (SW) 5701 mstly clr dust 18:00 44 24 28 228 (SW) 4046 clear dust 19:00 42 22 30 241 (WSW) 3587 clear dust 20:00 40 24 25 255 (WSW) 3718 mstly clr dust 21:00 39 28 23 241 (WSW) 3993 mstly cldy dust 22:00 36 26 15 276 (W) 3053 cloudy dust 23:00 34 25 18 285 (WNW) 3456 cloudy dust 00:00 32 25 24 300 (WNW) 4189 cloudy dust 01:00 30 26 17 292 (WNW) 3265 cloudy humid 02:00 29 24 17 290 (WNW) cloudy lt snow 03:00 27 22 24 291 (WNW) cloudy lt snow 04:00 26 22 21 282 (WNW) cloudy lt snow 05:00 25 19 27 284 (WNW) cloudy none 06:00 24 14 14 275 (W) 274 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
