Delay in opening after sunset was partly due to the clouds, and additionally there were some periods when we were open but not attempting to take data, so I did list some of that time as lost to weather. The problem with varying bias levels in KOSMOS images cropped up in a few images, but not the majority of them. It's unclear how much of a problem this poses for reductions. During second half, the clouds improved somewhat, and observations with MOS inserts went fairly well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:09 khigh 300( 340) 17 51 -0.1 0.7 1.4 0.9 0.3 - 1.99 01:08 kimage 375( 379) 72 56 -0.1 0.0 0.6 0.1 0.1 - 1.66 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 32 13 14 239 (WSW) 671 cloudy none 17:00 32 13 12 235 (SW) 799 mstly cldy none 18:00 32 12 19 222 (SW) 823 ptly cldy none 19:00 33 13 15 231 (SW) 568 ptly cldy none 20:00 33 14 21 274 (W) 428 ptly cldy none 21:00 33 14 18 253 (WSW) 440 mstly clr none 22:00 34 15 27 267 (W) 636 ptly cldy none 23:00 34 16 26 232 (SW) 530 mstly cldy none 00:00 34 16 17 268 (W) 455 mstly cldy none 01:00 32 16 18 249 (WSW) 494 mstly cldy none 02:00 31 15 23 251 (WSW) 639 ptly cldy none 03:00 31 15 24 268 (W) 631 mstly clr none 04:00 31 15 21 255 (WSW) 613 clear none 05:00 30 15 17 246 (WSW) 603 clear none 06:00 29 17 20 238 (WSW) 897 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
