The altitude drive problems appear to be behind us, and behavior was much improved tonight. With the visiting instrument we got a fresh instrument block, some science, and some windshake data (which I counted as EN01). Other engineering included Shack-Hartmann collimation and a pointing model, which also served as lots of slew tests. Testing continues for the next TUI update as well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:32 dssi 300( 667) 68 55 -1.9 0.2 0.6 -0.2 -1.1 692 2.35 01:56 guider 260( 284) 51 61 -1.2 -1.6 -1.8 -2.4 -2.1 B 0.99 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 32 6 7 354 (N) 246 clear none 17:00 30 2 12 19 (NNE) 423 clear none 18:00 32 -16 8 2 (N) 186 mstly clr none 19:00 30 -15 6 279 (W) 153 ptly cldy none 20:00 30 -13 17 354 (N) 104 ptly cldy none 21:00 31 0 9 16 (NNE) 108 ptly cldy none 22:00 30 4 5 354 (N) 140 mstly clr none 23:00 30 4 9 354 (N) 107 ptly cldy none 00:00 29 5 8 356 (N) 132 ptly cldy none 01:00 31 4 9 34 (NE) 141 ptly cldy none 02:00 30 4 9 9 (N) 143 ptly cldy none 03:00 32 4 8 357 (N) 152 ptly cldy none 04:00 31 3 10 352 (N) 131 mstly clr none 05:00 31 3 2 307 (NW) 129 ptly cldy none 06:00 33 4 9 297 (WNW) 124 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
