Since we were actively working on this issue I did log even the dome-closed time as OBS for engineering purposes, rather than being lost to EQUIP. Right about the time we gave up trying on altitude (around 22:00), clouds moved in so we would not have been able to do on-sky work after that point anyway. I did some in-dome work with DIS while closed, and the visiting instrument team spent some time preparing their instrument as well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 39 22 12 269 (W) 421 clear none 17:00 38 23 13 268 (W) 473 clear none 18:00 36 24 8 262 (W) 521 clear none 19:00 35 24 9 245 (WSW) 559 clear none 20:00 37 24 19 219 (SW) 617 clear none 21:00 36 25 13 269 (W) 549 ptly cldy none 22:00 36 26 16 272 (W) 755 ptly cldy none 23:00 35 26 14 281 (W) 706 mstly cldy none 00:00 35 25 15 274 (W) 649 cloudy none 01:00 35 26 19 248 (WSW) 701 cloudy none 02:00 35 26 10 266 (W) 663 cloudy none 03:00 33 25 16 270 (W) 534 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
