Some clouds started forming over us around 00:30 or so. They continued to be a nuisance for a couple hours, clearing up around 03:30. They returned with a vengeance around 05:45. The night was problem-free until attempting to switch to Apollo, when the tertiary threw a "LMSTOP clamp failed to fully close" error. We tried going to TR2 and back, but it threw the same error. Russet fixed it through talk2boxes, but the clouds were basically opaque by this point so we didn't get any on-sky time. I marked the entirety of AP01's time as lost to weather. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:58 dcamera 716( 1051) 89 64 9.9 10.8 10.7 10.4 10.0 -- 1.09 20:19 dcamera 500( 801) 36 46 9.7 9.8 10.3 9.6 9.6 -- 1.43 01:32 ecamera 418( -192) 74 54 9.9 9.2 9.7 9.3 9.4 ND1 1.56 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 53 32 16 302 (WNW) 348 clear none 17:00 51 33 20 305 (NW) 440 clear none 18:00 52 35 10 268 (W) 503 clear none 19:00 50 36 16 283 (WNW) 551 clear none 20:00 50 37 15 263 (W) 544 clear none 21:00 50 37 18 265 (W) 528 clear none 22:00 50 35 21 268 (W) 488 clear none 23:00 51 37 16 275 (W) 578 clear none 00:00 50 38 22 291 (WNW) 606 ptly cldy none 01:00 50 39 16 296 (WNW) 656 mstly cldy none 02:00 49 39 18 289 (WNW) 642 mstly cldy none 03:00 49 39 17 283 (WNW) 574 ptly cldy none 04:00 48 40 17 285 (WNW) 673 mstly clr none 05:00 48 41 22 290 (WNW) 806 mstly clr none 06:00 48 41 22 272 (W) 715 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
