Seeing was amazing! Sub-arcsecond even at 2 airmasses! However, the clouds started rolling in around 9pm and radar was close enough that we had to close shortly after midnight. However, the rain didn't actually start falling until 4:30 am. It is unlikely to let up until Friday and, as such, I call it once the rain started. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:46 arctic 495( 1281) 82 32 9.9 10.9 10.7 10.4 9.9 sdss-r 0.94 21:23 arctic 410( 1133) 111 39 10.3 9.7 10.1 9.4 9.6 sdss-z 0.91 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 54 40 9 255 (WSW) 2380 clear none 17:00 52 39 12 298 (WNW) 2013 clear none 18:00 52 39 7 280 (W) 1933 clear none 19:00 50 39 8 280 (W) 1937 clear none 20:00 50 39 10 268 (W) 1721 clear none 21:00 49 39 9 265 (W) 1685 mstly clr none 22:00 50 38 9 269 (W) 1687 ptly cldy none 23:00 49 39 10 269 (W) 1651 ptly cldy none 00:00 50 39 6 260 (W) 1674 mstly cldy none 01:00 51 38 2 255 (WSW) 2032 cloudy none 02:00 48 37 6 242 (WSW) 1873 mstly cldy none 03:00 46 39 8 186 (S) 1880 cloudy none 04:00 47 38 1 308 (NW) 2984 cloudy rain Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
