A little after 19:30, we started getting "No space left on device" errors, and the science image-in-progress failed to come through. Russet had to delete some pre-pandemic data from /export/images before we were able to resume observing. However, the targets for WY02 were obscured by clouds at this point. Engineering tasks: - We took multiple sets of DIS pinhole data images to assess the instrument's condition after servicing in between other on-sky tasks - Restarted TCC, reset axis controllers, and zeroed rotators (NA2 zeroed at -0.115) - Checked the echelle mask and focus, which both looked okay and so were not adjusted - Russet did Shack-Hartmann collimation and an altitude sweep - Took a set of pointing model data with the NA2 Guider but did not (yet) implement it. While we had a few hours of photometric skies, most of the night we had thin clouds being spun off of a large storm to the southwest. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WY02 TSPEC T/S 19:34 19:57 No space left on /export/images ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:25 tcamera 513( 1583) 225 38 11.6 13.9 13.2 13.4 12.4 Ks 1.45 22:25 shack 300( 1599) 236 58 10.7 10.6 11.0 10.2 10.4 - 1.20 01:37 guider 310( 1025) 251 73 11.1 8.9 9.5 8.5 9.4 B 1.22 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 60 37 7 190 (S) 1565 mstly clr none 17:00 59 36 6 266 (W) 1554 mstly clr none 18:00 55 34 6 252 (WSW) 1484 ptly cldy none 19:00 52 33 3 191 (S) 1438 ptly cldy none 20:00 52 30 6 141 (SE) 1479 ptly cldy none 21:00 54 28 2 213 (SSW) 1349 mstly clr none 22:00 53 30 2 196 (SSW) 1571 clear none 23:00 50 33 8 183 (S) 1486 clear none 00:00 50 34 8 185 (S) 1488 mstly clr none 01:00 50 34 2 165 (SSE) 1561 mstly clr none 02:00 50 28 3 241 (WSW) 1326 ptly cldy none 03:00 52 29 3 247 (WSW) 1274 ptly cldy none 04:00 54 27 3 334 (NNW) 1397 ptly cldy none 05:00 54 25 7 336 (NNW) 1348 ptly cldy none 06:00 55 22 7 325 (NW) 1280 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
