Each program was able to get some time on sky, and each program lost some time. Seeing was good at the start of the night, but later seeing varied from moderate to bad. For second half we were openn the whole time, but I did stop motors and close covers for one period of thicker clouds, so that time is listed as lost to weather. NICFPS was about as unstable as the weather, needing resets after small rotation moves or even after slews with no change in rotation. The focus script also caused readout failures, so I focused by hand. Fortunately, all of the problems were fixed with simple commands from TUI (expose init or startNubs), and no stronger interventions were needed. Together all the problems might have added up to more than 5 minutes, but since they were scattered in time I didn't log them. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:35 APOLLO 375( 2051) -41 43 15.1 15.6 16.1 15.6 15.3 530 1.20 01:21 ecamera 400( 269) -132 37 15.0 14.9 15.5 14.8 14.8 Clr 1.48 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 68 39 12 263 (W) 1039 mstly clr none 17:00 67 40 17 222 (SW) 1301 mstly clr none 18:00 66 40 10 243 (WSW) 1168 ptly cldy none 19:00 62 39 10 251 (WSW) 1138 mstly clr none 20:00 63 40 13 212 (SSW) 1255 ptly cldy none 21:00 63 41 16 226 (SW) 1188 mstly cldy none 22:00 61 42 14 237 (WSW) 1364 mstly cldy none 23:00 61 42 9 251 (WSW) 1177 mstly cldy lt rain 00:00 61 42 18 261 (W) 1130 ptly cldy none 01:00 59 43 5 285 (WNW) 1299 mstly clr none 02:00 58 45 16 299 (WNW) 1382 mstly cldy none 03:00 57 45 17 299 (WNW) 1332 ptly cldy none 04:00 56 44 1 217 (SW) 1156 mstly clr none 05:00 57 43 10 343 (NNW) 1031 mstly clr none 06:00 57 43 13 328 (NNW) 1055 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
