I had to restart IRAF a few times while checking the settings for DIS for B-half because when I tried to use imexam I got the error "iraf ERROR: Cannot open device (node!imtool,,2048,2048)", but as soon as Dmitry came over to help figure out what was wrong it started working again. I saw this error again around 05:00. At 01:23 we got a motion error at alt=53.1 slewing towards alt=51.6. Despite these minor problems, observing went well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:45 dcamera 456( 1318) 91 34 15.1 17.3 17.5 17.2 15.5 -- 1.37 01:29 dcamera 467( 1143) -14 51 13.2 13.6 14.3 13.3 13.7 -- 1.67 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 64 36 6 285 (WNW) 1857 clear none 17:00 68 36 11 251 (WSW) 1847 clear none 18:00 65 32 11 245 (WSW) 1793 clear none 19:00 61 27 3 252 (WSW) 1970 clear none 20:00 59 32 11 82 (E) 2135 clear none 21:00 58 29 9 59 (ENE) 1748 clear none 22:00 60 32 6 3 (N) 1775 clear none 23:00 55 31 6 12 (NNE) 1934 clear none 00:00 60 34 11 13 (NNE) 2217 clear none 01:00 59 32 5 349 (N) 2125 clear none 02:00 55 31 7 43 (NE) 1992 clear none 03:00 56 31 2 329 (NNW) 2099 clear none 04:00 57 30 6 289 (WNW) 1946 clear none 05:00 57 24 6 274 (W) 1271 clear none 06:00 57 28 6 272 (W) 1049 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
