Zero'ed NA2 rotator (-0.090) and agile rotator The NA2 inside eyelid did not open when I went on sky tonight. I could see the outer eyelid open from the camera. It threw me for a bit, especially with the issues with the hub and cameras today, until Russet had me physically check the inside eyelid. Thankfully it was a quick fix of just cycling the mirror covers to properly latch the eyelid. Observer was taking more echelle cals at the end of the night, so no end of night IOL. No other issues tonight except a healthy dose of unnecessary paranoia from the cameeras not working yesterday, and then the eyelid thingy. Things seem to be operating back to normal. A nice clear night for the majority of it with decent seeing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WY01 TSPEC T/H 20:00 20:12 NA2 inside eyelid did not open. cycled covers fixed ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:16 tcamera 692( 1622) 31 48 15.1 17.5 18.0 17.1 16.1 Ks 1.40 01:11 APOLLO 700( 2012) 93 41 14.8 14.2 14.8 14.1 14.6 -- 2.00 02:15 ecamera 684( 211) -31 47 14.8 14.2 14.9 14.2 14.4 ND2 1.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 66 54 1 108 (ESE) 1262 mstly cldy none 17:00 62 50 12 89 (E) 1381 mstly cldy none 18:00 64 51 11 91 (E) 1557 ptly cldy none 19:00 63 47 11 83 (E) 1399 ptly cldy none 20:00 60 44 12 91 (E) 1337 clear none 21:00 59 44 14 86 (E) 1731 clear none 22:00 59 42 12 93 (E) 1541 clear none 23:00 58 43 13 83 (E) 1599 clear none 00:00 59 41 14 74 (ENE) 1757 clear none 01:00 59 41 13 68 (ENE) 1657 clear none 02:00 61 36 14 62 (ENE) 1471 clear none 03:00 59 32 10 110 (ESE) 804 clear none 04:00 61 22 8 97 (E) 238 clear none 05:00 61 21 6 96 (E) 155 clear none 06:00 56 32 11 75 (ENE) 808 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
