DIS had trouble with corrupted images in the afternoon, but it calmed down before sunset when I angled the dome to take advantage of some wind. So the first observer was able to get going in good time. At the switch from Tspec back to DIS, the turret move was almost perfect but the bay 2 gratings needed several iterations to get into position, so I counted a little bit of time lost for that. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW06 D I/H 01:10 01:22 DIS gratings needed extra cal ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:52 dcamera 517( 1275) -7 79 19.6 21.2 21.4 20.8 19.8 - 1.07 23:58 tcamera 400( 1405) -141 58 19.1 18.2 18.8 17.8 18.2 Ks 1.18 01:30 dcamera 521( 1151) 104 37 17.4 17.9 18.6 17.9 17.5 - 1.70 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 78 33 13 203 (SSW) 760 mstly clr none 17:00 79 33 18 199 (SSW) 882 mstly clr none 18:00 77 32 9 236 (SW) 1042 mstly clr none 19:00 72 29 10 256 (WSW) 802 mstly clr none 20:00 69 27 13 261 (W) 802 mstly clr none 21:00 68 26 12 247 (WSW) 861 mstly clr none 22:00 67 25 8 263 (W) 901 clear none 23:00 65 23 8 239 (WSW) 924 clear none 00:00 66 22 5 261 (W) 964 clear none 01:00 65 24 7 262 (W) 708 mstly clr none 02:00 65 24 7 264 (W) 656 mstly clr none 03:00 65 21 10 264 (W) 768 clear none 04:00 64 21 10 266 (W) 586 clear none 05:00 65 23 11 276 (W) 648 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
