Thin clouds on IR sky camera most of the night. A line of thicker clouds around 2:20 am that made observing more difficult for about an hour. Jack significantly improved the focus of the optical cloud camera! and Amanda learned how to use ARCSAT. There was a lot of pollen on the cars this morning. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:44 dcamera 569( 1226) -5 75 17.4 19.0 19.4 18.7 17.8 -- 1.00 01:21 ecamera 435( 24) 160 63 15.8 15.7 16.5 15.5 15.3 ND4 0.79 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 72 31 15 228 (SW) 880 mstly clr none 17:00 71 27 19 264 (W) 603 mstly clr none 18:00 70 27 11 265 (W) 667 mstly clr none 19:00 68 24 12 257 (WSW) 531 mstly clr none 20:00 64 20 16 261 (W) 549 mstly clr none 21:00 64 21 17 267 (W) 577 ptly cldy none 22:00 63 20 15 268 (W) 692 ptly cldy none 23:00 63 18 18 273 (W) 602 ptly cldy none 00:00 63 19 12 263 (W) 560 ptly cldy none 01:00 61 22 8 266 (W) 638 ptly cldy none 02:00 59 22 6 338 (NNW) 767 mstly cldy none 03:00 60 21 6 268 (W) 744 mstly cldy none 04:00 58 21 7 264 (W) 668 ptly cldy none 05:00 57 19 5 253 (WSW) 801 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
