Everything worked well, but there were some tracking oscillations in altitude which did appear to be causing image elongation. Previously it was hard to be sure if the wiggles were affecting science, but this instance was pretty clear. The two UW programs mutually agreed to shift their changeover time one hour later, reflected in the times above. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:04 dcamera 423( 1123) -71 34 18.4 19.3 19.8 18.9 18.4 - 1.73 02:25 arctic 497( 1220) 239 52 17.7 16.3 17.0 16.1 16.8 SDSS_g 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 73 36 8 255 (WSW) 843 clear none 17:00 74 35 9 233 (SW) 810 clear none 18:00 73 34 6 212 (SSW) 831 clear none 19:00 73 34 12 239 (WSW) 783 clear none 20:00 69 34 11 203 (SSW) 787 clear none 21:00 66 31 11 149 (SSE) 770 clear none 22:00 65 30 7 167 (SSE) 713 clear none 23:00 64 32 7 157 (SSE) 749 clear none 00:00 64 32 10 181 (S) 710 clear none 01:00 62 32 7 142 (SE) 737 clear none 02:00 61 31 6 194 (SSW) 893 clear none 03:00 63 32 8 217 (SW) 1015 clear none 04:00 63 31 9 221 (SW) 900 clear none 05:00 62 28 6 194 (SSW) 646 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
