Everything went smoothly during checkout but we had small oscillations in altitude at 01:55am when we slewed to 224, 47. There were no issues while slewing, just when we got to field. However, the oscillations when away after a few minutes and everything was fine. While the sky was clear, the humidity was high. We had to close a little after 22:00pm when the humidity reach 85%. It dropped and we were able to reopen a little before 2:00am to surprisingly good seeing. Unfortunately, the humidity spiked again after 3:00am and I closed again and were not able to reopen. At 2:38pm, while slewing to NM03's first target, we had an altitude motion error while trying to move to 203, 73 from an altitude of 41, we had a motion error. 2021-05-31 08:38:34 .tcc.0 0 tcc w BadAltStatus; AltStat=73.267341,0.000350,5129167114.30000,0x0c006001; AltDTime=0.13 I reinitialized the drives and everything was fine with no further oscillations when we got to field. However, I'm not sure how well we were on the actual field. We didn't question the first field but when we went to the second, which was supposed to be a bright star, there were no obvious bright stars. I tried offsetting around but, due to the high humidity, couldn't isolate the target (proc-e0148 through e0153 show my attempts at offsetting). After closing due to humidity, I realized that I should have done a tcc track/pterr to check the pointing, but the humidity had me panicking. So, it's unclear if pointing for the echelle is off. Concerning training, Amanda ran checkouts and I walked her through: - mounting tspec - rotating tspec - rotating agile - arctic filters (database, .txt files, homing arctic fw, and how to edit database and .txt files) - changing the dewers with the crane - focusing agile She is learning very fast! She also has David's excellent notes :) ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:08 agile 415(-1162) -132 53 12.4 14.2 14.7 13.9 12.8 BG40 2.04 01:55 tcamera 349( 983) 224 47 10.8 10.1 10.4 10.1 10.5 MKs 1.19 02:44 ecamera 487( -188) 127 69 11.5 10.2 10.7 10.3 10.9 Clear 1.06 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 62 31 6 187 (S) ptly cldy none 17:00 65 31 14 215 (SW) ptly cldy none 18:00 66 31 12 187 (S) ptly cldy none 19:00 61 31 10 196 (SSW) mstly clr none 20:00 57 31 17 151 (SSE) mstly clr none 21:00 54 31 15 148 (SSE) clear humid 22:00 51 31 16 113 (ESE) clear humid 23:00 49 31 11 86 (E) clear humid 00:00 49 31 13 80 (E) clear humid 01:00 48 31 1 75 (ENE) mstly clr none 02:00 51 31 12 178 (S) mstly clr humid 03:00 50 31 17 156 (SSE) ptly cldy none 04:00 51 31 10 178 (S) mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
