Seeing was good to excellent. APOLLO was able to get some data despite the very full moon and despite some GPS jamming. NICFPS had several failures requiring either a quick restart or a longer software restart, but it settled down after an hour or so. There was also one motion error on Altitude while slewing, fixed by slewing up and then back down again. Altitude tracking was generally good but there was some sawtooth noise on the current strip chart. Altogether these problems cost about 13 minutes from the first half program. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JH06 N I/H 20:41 20:50 NICFPS various restarts JH06 N T/H 22:35 22:39 Alt motion error ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:00 NICFPS 225( 1452) 45 63 14.4 16.5 16.4 15.7 14.8 Ks 1.04 00:20 APOLLO 475( 1756) 15 29 13.5 13.9 14.7 13.7 14.2 530 1.20 01:48 arctic 463( 1055) 280 70 14.6 13.8 14.3 13.7 14.5 sdss_i 0.73 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 65 22 5 262 (W) 744 ptly cldy none 17:00 69 24 13 238 (WSW) 843 ptly cldy none 18:00 66 20 9 274 (W) 842 ptly cldy none 19:00 62 18 5 239 (WSW) 821 ptly cldy none 20:00 60 16 14 263 (W) 729 ptly cldy none 21:00 58 14 9 242 (WSW) 787 ptly cldy none 22:00 58 15 9 233 (SW) 775 ptly cldy none 23:00 58 15 9 198 (SSW) 807 mstly clr none 00:00 58 15 6 261 (W) 817 mstly clr none 01:00 58 15 6 258 (WSW) 884 clear none 02:00 58 15 8 262 (W) 949 clear none 03:00 58 15 8 252 (WSW) 876 mstly clr none 04:00 58 14 8 257 (WSW) 838 mstly clr none 05:00 57 13 10 218 (SW) 931 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
