I thought this would turn into a serious problem for the evening, but once the night started to cool I only had to stop tracking once due to oscillations, and even then we were able to return to the field by approaching from the other direction. I did encourage the observers to stay on eastern targets initially, but later targets were okay after crossing the meridian. Clouds during first half interrupted data-taking for a little while although I kept the dome open, but mostly the observers were able to keep going on brighter targets. During second half the sky cleared and they were able to observe some fainter targets as well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:33 tcamera 428( 1148) 84 36 9.9 11.6 11.9 11.4 9.9 Ks 1.01 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 58 14 26 270 (W) 1015 clear none 17:00 58 13 25 215 (SW) 1223 clear none 18:00 55 9 17 259 (W) 1012 clear none 19:00 54 9 19 266 (W) 1672 mstly clr none 20:00 51 6 17 260 (W) 1646 mstly clr none 21:00 49 9 14 267 (W) 1471 ptly cldy none 22:00 48 11 15 299 (WNW) 2125 ptly cldy none 23:00 48 11 17 282 (WNW) 1802 ptly cldy none 00:00 47 11 17 273 (W) 1467 mstly clr none 01:00 45 13 10 306 (NW) 1375 clear none 02:00 45 17 12 350 (N) 1353 clear none 03:00 45 20 11 306 (NW) clear none 04:00 44 20 8 332 (NNW) clear none 05:00 42 21 2 20 (NNE) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
