However, once the clouds cleared the seeing was AMAZING!!! It's too bad the class went so far into twilight, we were not able to do a tour of the sky with them under these awesome conditions. Ah well. No problems tonight. Telescope parked at -40 az. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:33 dcamera 473( 656) 147 72 9.1 8.9 9.4 8.4 8.8 -- 1.19 22:36 dcamera 450( 588) 142 58 8.1 7.8 8.4 7.7 8.1 -- 1.40 01:09 dcamera 507( 623) 5 38 6.6 6.9 7.6 6.8 6.8 -- 1.56 02:28 AGILE 527(-1373) 226 50 9.1 7.3 8.0 7.2 8.2 BG40 0.80 04:08 AGILE 452(-1449) 114 67 7.5 7.5 8.2 7.4 7.7 sdss-r 0.59 05:10 AGILE 487(-1408) 137 64 8.4 7.6 8.1 7.6 8.2 BG40 0.62 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 49 32 16 154 (SSE) 1165 ptly cldy none 17:00 56 31 5 190 (S) 1482 ptly cldy none 18:00 52 32 6 61 (ENE) 1096 mstly clr none 19:00 48 32 5 91 (E) 953 clear none 20:00 47 31 13 73 (ENE) 1261 clear none 21:00 47 26 10 85 (E) 1037 clear none 22:00 45 31 13 72 (ENE) 955 clear none 23:00 46 25 11 68 (ENE) 1128 clear none 00:00 46 25 11 60 (ENE) 1260 clear none 01:00 45 27 9 55 (NE) 1451 clear none 02:00 48 25 9 54 (NE) 1256 clear none 03:00 47 24 8 66 (ENE) 1280 clear none 04:00 46 24 7 24 (NNE) 1319 clear none 05:00 47 27 10 42 (NE) 1417 clear none 06:00 47 25 10 44 (NE) 1301 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
