We had clouds all night, with high dust for most of A half. The dust died down around midnight, so I opened the dome for DD02 but we weren't able to see even 3rd magnitude star. Things did clear a little after 3am but, by the time we focused and UW06 got their standards, we were under enough cloud cover that we could not make out their galaxies. The optical cloud cam randomly cut out tonight and I was not able to bring it back up. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03:19 dcamera 392( 414) 103 52 4.6 5.2 6.1 5.1 4.8 -- 1.66 04:10 dcamera 421( 406) 259 45 3.7 4.3 5.1 4.1 3.8 -- 2.01 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 52 18 30 262 (W) 1789 cloudy none 17:00 50 15 30 245 (WSW) 1918 cloudy none 18:00 49 11 26 263 (W) 2461 cloudy dust 19:00 49 11 31 255 (WSW) 3179 cloudy dust 20:00 48 5 24 265 (W) 6885 cloudy dust 21:00 47 2 22 268 (W) 4659 cloudy dust 22:00 46 1 18 264 (W) 5576 cloudy dust 23:00 45 0 21 281 (W) 4701 cloudy dust 00:00 44 1 16 262 (W) 3451 cloudy dust 01:00 43 2 17 283 (WNW) 2490 cloudy none 02:00 42 3 15 263 (W) 1938 cloudy none 03:00 41 3 13 300 (WNW) 1739 mstly cldy none 04:00 39 0 7 317 (NW) 1431 cloudy none 05:00 38 -1 14 348 (NNW) 1385 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
