The program that took the time did not quite use all of first half, so I still had time for many hours of throughput measurements. Weather was clear all night with generally poor seeing. Borderline winds at dusk and dawn, and a threat of gypsum invasion in the afternoon, did not turn into anything severe, so we were able to be open all night. Agile again had the problem where the afocus nub needed a restart in order for the agile guider to work. This was previous reported by Jack on Jan 17, but I had not realized that the error message was so unhelpful: "Star not found" which doesn't sound like a nub restart will do anything, but it worked. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:52 AGILE 575(-1504) 113 72 2.7 3.7 4.2 3.1 2.9 BG40 1.94 19:45 AGILE 525(-1634) 133 82 2.3 2.1 3.3 2.1 2.0 BG40 1.85 22:43 AGILE 525(-1701) 249 59 0.1 0.5 1.4 0.5 0.2 BG40 1.61 23:49 arctic 556( 535) 55 41 0.4 0.3 1.1 0.4 0.6 sdss_g 1.58 05:04 tcamera 448( 597) 212 64 0.8 0.0 0.7 0.1 0.2 Ks 1.83 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 44 10 26 247 (WSW) 853 clear none 17:00 42 6 25 260 (W) 586 clear none 18:00 39 3 22 267 (W) 754 clear none 19:00 36 3 20 269 (W) 1393 clear none 20:00 36 4 21 263 (W) 985 clear none 21:00 35 5 19 265 (W) 886 clear none 22:00 34 7 14 258 (WSW) 918 clear none 23:00 33 8 14 240 (WSW) 979 clear none 00:00 33 5 13 266 (W) 674 clear none 01:00 33 1 15 271 (W) 609 clear none 02:00 33 -1 25 269 (W) 617 clear none 03:00 34 -4 11 306 (NW) clear none 04:00 34 -6 11 260 (W) clear none 05:00 32 -6 17 262 (W) clear none 06:00 34 -5 17 268 (W) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
