The winds were a little borderline at some points, but never high enough to close. We closed up around 06:30 AM. We noticed an issue with the Echelle nurse tank losing weight between auto-fills, and last night it apparently was suffering temperature spikes at the same time as the fills (see PR 2003). Tonight it was still losing some weight between fills, but no temperature spikes. At the time we closed up, the dewar was at 243 and pressurized to 8 psi. Nothing looked out of the ordinary on either the afternoon or the morning inter-order light measurements. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:10 ecamera 559( -281) 227 31 5.3 6.1 6.3 5.4 5.4 ND3 1.25 00:14 tcamera 427( 795) 6 80 4.4 4.8 5.4 4.8 4.6 Ks 1.09 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 47 1 17 280 (W) 188 clear none 17:00 46 1 14 255 (WSW) 242 clear none 18:00 41 1 15 256 (WSW) 296 ptly cldy none 19:00 41 0 24 239 (WSW) 553 clear none 20:00 42 -3 20 265 (W) 467 clear none 21:00 41 -3 23 280 (W) 288 clear none 22:00 42 -2 19 284 (WNW) 177 clear none 23:00 42 -3 19 291 (WNW) 158 clear none 00:00 41 -5 19 296 (WNW) 166 clear none 01:00 41 -6 17 275 (W) 133 clear none 02:00 40 -4 16 311 (NW) 150 clear none 03:00 39 -5 14 305 (NW) 261 clear none 04:00 38 -5 17 307 (NW) 265 clear none 05:00 38 -5 17 323 (NW) 176 clear none 06:00 39 -5 16 271 (W) 125 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
