But we tried to make the most of it anyway. I did a bunch of in-dome KOSMOS engineering, while the remote observers took long dark sequences. The snow started around 23:45, and I began the snow program around 01:15 once the snow started to stick to the grass. The wind was high enough that we stopped the snow program around 04:00 and parked the telescope facing south. We went to bed around 05:00. Snow accumulation was minimal, but it was finally starting to stick to the pavement just as we called it a night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 39 11 21 254 (WSW) 414 cloudy none 17:00 39 12 14 250 (WSW) 414 cloudy none 18:00 38 12 17 247 (WSW) 538 mstly cldy none 19:00 38 12 25 239 (WSW) 954 cloudy none 20:00 39 11 19 240 (WSW) 1016 cloudy none 21:00 38 9 24 239 (WSW) 1259 cloudy none 22:00 37 15 22 240 (WSW) 1229 cloudy none 23:00 35 22 27 244 (WSW) 825 cloudy lt snow 00:00 34 24 21 229 (SW) 682 cloudy lt snow 01:00 31 24 31 238 (WSW) 6426 cloudy lt snow 02:00 31 28 29 224 (SW) cloudy lt snow 03:00 31 30 26 228 (SW) cloudy lt snow 04:00 31 30 22 249 (WSW) cloudy lt snow 05:00 32 31 31 244 (WSW) cloudy lt snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
