I eventually figured it out using the bias image in the keep directory. Russet later confirmed this was the correct action to do. So one odd thing I did note regarding the Kosmos slitviewer and using the bias image for the mask. Some images, typically The first image after the star was moved into the slit or the first guide image, seemed washed out with no stars in the field, the next image(s) you could see stars and looked normal. This happened on several occasions. We closed the enclosure at 04:00 due to the humidity rising and clouds forming overtop of us. I was concerned about maybe a few snowflakes in the clouds since the humidity was high and it was below freezing. The clouds seemed to be local as they were not showing up on the satellite. Humidity went over the limit while I was in the dome closing, it never came down for the rest of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:52 dcamera 504( 473) 266 57 -2.7 -1.4 -1.5 -1.9 -2.6 -- 1.75 01:00 kimager 454( 494) 120 52 -3.0 -3.5 -3.0 -3.5 -3.3 -- 1.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 30 14 17 258 (WSW) 193 clear none 17:00 28 14 17 260 (W) 190 clear none 18:00 27 14 22 267 (W) 202 clear none 19:00 27 14 9 263 (W) 175 clear none 20:00 28 15 16 276 (W) 249 clear none 21:00 28 18 18 262 (W) 404 clear none 22:00 28 18 18 263 (W) 357 clear none 23:00 27 18 23 265 (W) 323 clear none 00:00 27 20 20 257 (WSW) 400 clear none 01:00 26 19 19 264 (W) 389 clear none 02:00 26 20 22 269 (W) mstly clr none 03:00 26 20 19 257 (WSW) ptly cldy none 04:00 26 21 19 262 (W) cloudy humid 05:00 26 22 20 238 (WSW) cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
