And after rotating to 84 deg. And then after dismounting. But they were all done quick and we didn't lose any time. The thing that DID make us lose time was the NA2 rotator. It seemed to have spontaneous lost connection at 03:56 am. I recieved the following errors: 2021-12-27 11:06:03 CU01.jessica 934 tcc f text="Slew failed: Sub-command(s) failed: DRIFT: Timed out" 2021-12-27 11:08:22 .tcc.0 0 tcc w text='STATUS failed for axis: rot1' After taking some time to figure out what was going on (PR 2065), I was able to reconnect the axis and there weren't any further problems. I checked the "phono jack" to see if the rotator had been over rotated but everything looked good. I will zero the rotator tomorrow during checkout. Arctic's filter wheel wouldn't change filters around 06:25 when it was at rotation of 115. I had to set rotation to 0 and home the wheel. As for the weather, we had some clouds at the beginning on the night that kept us closed but, once we were able to open the seeing was quite good. Clouds came back on and off during the rest of the night and things were a little gusty but we were able to stay open. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CU01 R T/U 03:56 04:18 NA2 Rotator lost connection ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:36 NICFPS 291( 1112) 204 55 3.2 3.6 4.2 3.6 3.1 H2-2.12 0.95 19:10 NICFPS 371( 1120) 208 52 3.2 1.9 3.6 2.9 2.9 H2-2.12 1.04 20:38 NICFPS 405( 1145) 60 38 2.4 1.6 3.1 2.3 2.3 H2-2.12 1.07 22:53 tcamera 479( 945) 351 63 3.2 1.4 2.7 2.2 2.5 Ks 1.03 00:22 arctic 480( 829) 61 23 2.7 1.4 2.7 2.2 2.4 sdss-g 1.82 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 40 19 26 265 (W) 787 cloudy none 17:00 40 18 25 270 (W) 950 cloudy none 18:00 38 16 19 242 (WSW) 725 mstly cldy none 19:00 38 11 21 254 (WSW) 336 clear none 20:00 38 5 20 265 (W) 288 mstly clr none 21:00 36 5 20 239 (WSW) 284 clear none 22:00 37 5 26 278 (W) 225 clear none 23:00 38 4 20 244 (WSW) 212 mstly clr none 00:00 37 12 23 253 (WSW) 181 mstly clr none 01:00 37 23 24 267 (W) 228 mstly clr none 02:00 37 28 29 275 (W) 192 mstly clr none 03:00 36 27 25 248 (WSW) 180 ptly cldy none 04:00 37 29 32 260 (W) 145 mstly clr none 05:00 36 28 21 265 (W) 167 clear none 06:00 36 24 16 256 (WSW) 131 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
