I went through troubleshooting steps on the wiki to bring it back up. The optical cloud camera froze again Tuesday afternoon. Clouds before sunset dissipated and we got on sky quickly, but with mediocre seeing. We began KOSMOS setup and pointed at a bright standard star despite the clouds, and were able to get a couple spectra before closing at 01:50 due to radar on top of the thick clouds. We got a little bit of light rain and the radar continued to look bad for the rest of the night. Russet used some of the bad weather to put KOSMOS through a few engineering tests to check internal lamps vs. truss lamps and sag, as well as exercising the calstage. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:19 dcamera 647( 1312) 71 50 10.9 13.3 13.4 12.4 11.3 -- 1.61 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 57 35 7 190 (S) 581 mstly cldy none 17:00 59 36 13 212 (SSW) 516 ptly cldy none 18:00 56 35 14 149 (SSE) 533 mstly clr none 19:00 52 35 18 123 (ESE) 562 mstly clr none 20:00 51 35 14 123 (ESE) 553 ptly cldy none 21:00 51 35 18 115 (ESE) 608 ptly cldy none 22:00 50 36 16 112 (ESE) 601 ptly cldy none 23:00 50 35 18 110 (ESE) 546 mstly cldy none 00:00 52 35 15 139 (SE) 579 mstly cldy none 01:00 51 35 16 132 (SE) 738 mstly cldy none 02:00 51 34 12 132 (SE) 674 cloudy none 03:00 51 35 10 138 (SE) 679 cloudy lt rain 04:00 51 34 12 178 (S) 659 cloudy none 05:00 50 33 14 167 (SSE) 886 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
