One halted the drive with a motion error but the next several slews were fine. I tried cleaning the Alt drive surface but still saw the slips. There were no drive issues while observing. I had an issue with NICFPS at the start of the 3rd program with it not wanting to set the exp time when I went to focus. The user had just finished their darks and I mounted the instrument before starting focus. I needed to restart the ICS and then restart the Nubs which fixed the issue. Luckily the 2nd user finished a few minutes early so it really only affected a couple minutes of the 3rd observers time. Error: 0x455252 was the error I saw in the TUI log window to alert me to the issue and fix. No problems with NICFPS, other than at the start, but the instrument was not inverted during the night either. The Echelle cal mirror did not move into place properly for my end of night EOL. I moved it out and then back in and this seemed to fix the issue. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JH06 N I/S 02:40 02:46 NICFPS ICS needed to be restarted. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:38 ecamera 580( 364) 54 72 11.2 13.6 12.6 13.2 13.3 ND3 0.87 01:09 tcamera 430( 1291) 249 58 11.5 9.8 10.6 9.5 10.1 Ks 1.11 02:53 NICFPS 345( 1439) 44 48 10.0 9.3 9.9 9.0 9.4 Ks 0.75 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 62 26 10 224 (SW) 570 clear none 17:00 59 25 13 263 (W) 568 clear none 18:00 54 25 3 276 (W) 658 clear none 19:00 52 25 4 338 (NNW) 626 clear none 20:00 53 24 10 326 (NW) 693 clear none 21:00 53 25 8 308 (NW) 617 clear none 22:00 52 24 1 284 (WNW) 526 clear none 23:00 53 22 6 355 (N) 476 mstly clr none 00:00 52 24 1 274 (W) 515 mstly clr none 01:00 52 24 3 252 (WSW) 673 mstly clr none 02:00 51 24 2 228 (SW) 716 clear none 03:00 51 24 4 254 (WSW) 753 clear none 04:00 50 24 6 205 (SSW) 767 clear none 05:00 50 27 9 193 (SSW) 875 clear none 06:00 50 28 9 207 (SSW) 881 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
