Due to the low altitude + clouds making Venus observations difficult, NM04 handed over to NM02 about 20 minutes early. NAIC dismount started at 00:30 and finished about 01:00. I did a test exposure with NICFPS after mounting and it failed to expose, but a nicfps expose init brought it back. It behaved well otherwise. The humidity crept up during B-half, but luckily not high enough that we had to close. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:48 ecamera 466( 98) 237 50 8.7 10.1 9.5 9.4 9.5 ND5 0.84 01:21 NICFPS 348( 1339) -18 59 7.3 7.2 7.9 7.2 7.2 Ks 1.31 05:47 tcamera 425( 1147) -43 55 8.1 6.8 7.4 6.8 7.2 Ks 0.89 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 51 21 1 209 (SSW) 1046 clear none 17:00 50 20 5 223 (SW) 1187 clear none 18:00 49 21 1 206 (SSW) 1083 mstly clr none 19:00 48 22 2 111 (ESE) 1153 mstly cldy none 20:00 49 24 4 187 (S) 1657 mstly cldy none 21:00 49 24 5 195 (SSW) 1914 mstly cldy none 22:00 46 21 3 142 (SE) 1769 mstly cldy none 23:00 48 26 5 170 (S) 1722 ptly cldy none 00:00 49 26 13 145 (SE) 1779 ptly cldy none 01:00 46 30 10 132 (SE) 1530 mstly clr none 02:00 46 28 10 163 (SSE) 1416 mstly clr none 03:00 44 28 4 171 (S) 1453 mstly clr none 04:00 45 32 11 176 (S) 1572 clear none 05:00 47 32 13 159 (SSE) 1654 clear humid 06:00 46 31 11 148 (SSE) 1685 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
