Things started calming down before sunset but I held off on starting until the dust levels dropped to around 4K. I opened the dome but kept the covers closed and fans off when we hit 6K and things were heading downward. I figured even at slightly elevated dust levels, with the fans off and mirror covers closed it was OK to just open the dome. Dust started to climb shortly thereafter and I decided it prudent to just close the enclosure until the dust counts improved. Dust never dropped below closure limits, and the humidity rose at the end of the night as well, so we never were able to open.
