In the morning, I took a couple more at about 06:00, and they had not really changed: UL and LR both about 265, LL about 205-210, UR about 365. When I went up to the dome at checkout, the NA2 rotator had been "over-rotated"(cable wrapped) and would not move. I rotated it by hand back to zero, plugged the 3.5mm jack back in, tested it with talk2boxes, then issued a "tcc axis connect" command. The rotator worked fine after that. The humidity spiked above safe levels at sunset and kept us closed for about an hour, but then cleared up enough to open at 20:00. Orographic clouds pestered us intermittently during the night. The humidity started rising around 04:00, and had gotten high enough that we closed up at 05:00 and didn't reopen. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:03 dcamera 333( 771) 91 62 6.8 8.6 8.5 8.5 7.2 -- 1.25 21:48 dcamera 347( 700) 264 54 6.8 6.8 7.1 6.4 6.6 -- 1.06 23:41 dcamera 503( 832) 329 66 6.7 6.4 7.0 6.4 6.7 -- 1.06 01:20 dcamera 540( 877) 323 45 6.8 6.3 6.9 6.3 6.5 -- 1.14 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 50 39 16 248 (WSW) 781 mstly cldy none 17:00 47 39 8 266 (W) 800 mstly cldy none 18:00 46 37 11 295 (WNW) 788 ptly cldy none 19:00 43 40 4 326 (NW) mstly clr humid 20:00 44 37 5 276 (W) clear none 21:00 44 36 7 275 (W) 782 clear none 22:00 45 34 9 282 (WNW) 758 ptly cldy none 23:00 45 35 10 271 (W) 751 mstly clr none 00:00 45 35 8 271 (W) 803 ptly cldy none 01:00 44 35 7 265 (W) 764 ptly cldy none 02:00 44 36 7 266 (W) 799 mstly clr none 03:00 44 36 6 263 (W) 817 clear none 04:00 43 37 10 276 (W) 832 clear humid 05:00 42 37 8 269 (W) clear humid 06:00 42 38 6 275 (W) clear humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
