Some light cirrus started to pass overhead around 20:00, but the sky remained relatively clear for a couple more hours. Thicker clouds started to roll in around 22:30. By 01:30, the clouds were thick enough that we started having trouble guiding, and clouds continued to be an issue for the rest of the night. We closed up around 06:00. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:48 dcamera 425( 421) 86 61 2.3 4.8 4.6 4.7 2.7 -- 1.40 19:35 dcamera 530( 423) -34 26 2.3 2.0 3.0 2.2 2.5 -- 1.44 00:19 arctic 534( 521) 51 45 0.9 0.6 1.3 0.7 1.0 SDSS_g 1.39 Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 45 3 13 221 (SW) 415 clear none 17:00 38 2 10 228 (SW) 412 clear none 18:00 37 3 11 226 (SW) 556 clear none 19:00 36 2 9 214 (SW) 556 clear none 20:00 36 2 11 234 (SW) 599 mstly clr none 21:00 36 2 10 219 (SW) 728 mstly clr none 22:00 35 1 12 214 (SW) 675 ptly cldy none 23:00 34 1 10 201 (SSW) 819 ptly cldy none 00:00 35 2 18 237 (WSW) 779 ptly cldy none 01:00 34 2 14 227 (SW) 1075 mstly cldy none 02:00 33 5 14 211 (SSW) 894 mstly cldy none 03:00 33 4 12 214 (SW) 806 ptly cldy none 04:00 33 3 13 225 (SW) 726 mstly cldy none 05:00 35 3 16 206 (SSW) 536 mstly cldy none 06:00 34 -1 16 202 (SSW) 513 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
