There was no hope of opening tonight. With the snow, wind, and freezing fog, the best I could do was run the Snow program, which I did until about 9:30 pm when the winds started gusting over 40 mph. While it did snow, it wasn't much and there was no accumulation on the sidewalks. I parked south to let any snow melt off the dome. I check the altitude after a stop button was engaged and did not observe any sag over the course of the night. The tcc reported alt to be a constant 10.006592 degrees. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 33 22 30 200 (SSW) 421 cloudy lt snow 17:00 28 27 28 244 (WSW) cloudy snow 18:00 26 25 20 262 (W) cloudy lt snow 19:00 24 24 25 257 (WSW) cloudy fog 20:00 22 19 25 256 (WSW) cloudy fog 21:00 21 20 28 277 (W) cloudy fog 22:00 20 20 32 261 (W) cloudy fog 23:00 19 18 26 268 (W) cloudy fog 00:00 19 18 28 256 (WSW) cloudy fog 01:00 18 17 16 278 (W) cloudy fog 02:00 18 17 16 279 (W) cloudy fog 03:00 17 16 11 287 (WNW) cloudy fog 04:00 17 15 19 286 (WNW) cloudy fog Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
