That plus some radar echoes persuaded me to close right around the beginning of twilight. NICFPS needed a restart of the instrument control software right after mounting, but after that it only gave a few bad images before settling down, and then a couple more at the end of the night. But check out the near-record seeing, which was delivered for some of the science images as well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:01 ecamera 492( 293) 61 68 18.9 20.3 20.2 19.9 19.1 ND2 0.88 22:57 tcamera 472( 1475) 103 70 18.4 18.2 18.8 18.3 18.2 Ks 1.15 01:16 NICFPS 313( 1575) 66 73 17.5 17.4 18.0 17.2 17.4 Ks 0.58 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 72 38 12 277 (W) 1060 ptly cldy none 17:00 75 36 9 189 (S) 1164 ptly cldy none 18:00 70 33 10 237 (WSW) 1042 mstly clr none 19:00 68 30 10 198 (SSW) 1255 mstly clr none 20:00 66 30 5 193 (SSW) 1463 clear none 21:00 66 30 9 197 (SSW) 1656 clear none 22:00 65 31 12 182 (S) 1371 clear none 23:00 65 30 14 179 (S) 1200 clear none 00:00 65 30 13 180 (S) 1242 clear none 01:00 64 27 18 188 (S) 1474 clear none 02:00 63 30 21 196 (SSW) 1279 clear none 03:00 61 25 19 180 (S) 1370 clear none 04:00 58 30 17 149 (SSE) 1638 ptly cldy none 05:00 57 30 17 147 (SSE) 1833 mstly cldy none 06:00 61 30 11 144 (SE) 1626 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
