When I switched from DIS to the Echelle and we slewed to the observers target (lower alt) the drives were not happy (alt). I was seeing currents around -8.9 and a spike would show up on the dataq about once per second (status also reported a slip). I slewed down in altitude and that really made the drive upset and it threw a motion error. I then re-init the axis and slewed up, then back down and the alt drive was much happier (currents around -2). We did have elevated dust levels all night (~4000cts) No telescope problems but I did notice that the top right louver was not closed when I shut down, PR submitted. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:03 APOLLO 650( 2053) 124 58 14.1 17.1 16.1 16.4 14.9 -- 1.50 20:37 dcamera 375( 826) -85 51 13.3 14.3 14.5 13.7 13.4 -- 1.50 22:09 dcamera 393( 794) -1 39 12.9 13.1 13.5 12.5 12.6 -- 3.00 01:14 ecamera 416( -160) -18 48 12.8 12.0 12.6 12.0 12.6 ND2 1.44 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 59 31 2 244 (WSW) 2566 ptly cldy none 17:00 59 31 5 349 (N) 2591 ptly cldy none 18:00 62 30 4 218 (SW) 2665 ptly cldy none 19:00 58 30 4 249 (WSW) 2797 clear none 20:00 57 30 4 223 (SW) 2781 clear none 21:00 56 30 2 123 (ESE) 3400 clear none 22:00 55 30 6 127 (SE) 3580 clear dust 23:00 54 30 9 215 (SW) 3763 clear dust 00:00 52 24 7 194 (SSW) 4744 clear dust 01:00 54 24 5 196 (SSW) 4543 clear dust 02:00 55 23 5 206 (SSW) 4120 clear dust 03:00 55 21 7 262 (W) 4036 clear dust 04:00 55 20 8 271 (W) 4091 clear dust 05:00 55 22 8 308 (NW) 4181 clear dust 06:00 54 24 10 326 (NW) 4119 clear dust Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
