It started to clear around sunset. The shutters gave us a little scare refusing to open, but that seemed to resolve itself quickly. Nonetheless, we were extra cautious in opening, in case we could not close again and had to manually move the shutters. It was overcast anyway. Clouds began to blow out around 20:00. We opened at 20:30. Winds were low and seeing was fair to average. We stayed open the rest of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:33 dcamera 546( 802) 95 55 8.8 10.3 10.4 10.4 9.2 - 1.22 21:35 dcamera 529( 732) 87 68 9.0 9.3 9.8 9.2 9.1 - 1.32 01:15 dcamera 533( 699) -63 64 8.9 8.4 8.9 8.4 8.4 - 1.23 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 50 30 9 84 (E) cloudy rain 17:00 50 30 7 71 (ENE) mstly cldy humid 18:00 48 30 18 61 (ENE) mstly cldy humid 19:00 48 30 14 75 (ENE) mstly cldy none 20:00 48 30 14 60 (ENE) 879 ptly cldy none 21:00 48 30 18 71 (ENE) 801 ptly cldy none 22:00 48 30 17 76 (ENE) 717 mstly clr none 23:00 49 30 14 84 (E) 763 mstly clr none 00:00 48 30 9 89 (E) 620 clear none 01:00 47 30 10 85 (E) 683 clear none 02:00 49 30 9 97 (E) 625 clear none 03:00 49 30 9 83 (E) 637 clear none 04:00 48 30 6 92 (E) 648 clear none 05:00 47 30 9 113 (ESE) 545 clear none 06:00 48 30 11 111 (ESE) 558 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
